Surface preparation
Previously painted surfaces: Scrape off loose and flaking paint. Wash with Selleys® Sugar Soap to remove grease and grime. Fill nail holes and cracks with a suitable flexible filler, then sand smooth. Chalky surfaces: Use PRECISION® Sealer Binder^. Surfaces should be sanded back to a strongly bound surface and dusted off. Unpainted surfaces: Fill imperfections with a suitable flexible filler, sand smooth and dust off. For bare plaster and powdery surfaces use Dulux PRECISION® Sealer Binder^. ^Note: Chemical emissions will not be Ultra Low if this product is used under Dulux UltraAir®.
How to apply
Stir well before use with a broad flat paddle using an up and down scooping action. Apply two coats of Dulux UltraAir® Ceiling ensuring that the first coat is completely dry before applying the second. Remember, using poor quality or worn rollers can affect the final finish achieved. Note: some colours may require more than two coats, especially when painting over dark colours. Treating existing mould: Existing mould must be treated prior to painting. Remove mould with Selleys Rapid Mould Killer or by scrubbing with a scouring pad and bleach solution (one part bleach to three parts water). Leave solution on surface for 15 minutes then wash with clean water and wipe dry. Several applications may be necessary to remove stubborn mould blooms.
Responsible disposal of paint
Unused paint: Do not pour leftover paint down the drain. Unwanted paint should be brushed out on newspaper and allowed to dry, and then disposed of via domestic waste collections. Empty paint containers: Leave empty paint containers open in a well-ventilated area to dry out. When dry, recycle the container via steel can recycling programs. Disposal of empty paint containers via domestic recycling programs may differ between local authorities. Check with your local council first. Do not reuse container unless thoroughly decontaminated.
